REVERSE
OSMOSIS UNITS
- SINGLE PASS REVERSE OSMOSIS UNITS: 1,500
TO 500,000 GALLONS PER DAY
- These reverse osmosis systems
will remove approximately 99% of all solutes dissolved in the
water whether they are salts or organics such as sugar or dissolved
oils. This is done by a process of diffusion of the water and
rejection of the solute through a membrane. In addition, there
will be virtually 100% removal of bacteria, viruses, cysts, and
suspended solids remaining after pre-filtration because of imperfections
in the element material seldom if ever exceed one or two angstrom
units in diameter.
- MULTIPLE PASS REVERSE OSMOSIS UNITS: 450 TO 100,000 GALLONS PER DAY
- By passing the treated water
from the first reverse osmosis element(s) through one or more
elements,n water qualities of 1.0 to 0.1 micro siemen (1,000,000
to 10,000,000 ohms) are attainable. This is done with single
or multiple pumps and sometimes CO2 scrubbers are employed. This
type of system will often negate the need for deionization and
its associated operating costs and chemical handling dangers.

- SPECIALTY MEMBRANE ELEMENT SYSTEMS: 450 TO 500,000 GALLONS PER DAY
- Often water needs may not require
reverse osmosis but one of the other membrane technologies such
as nanofiltration, ultrafiltration, or microfiltration. These
processes require lower operating pressures and smaller horse
power pumps, have higher recoveries, and higher volume outputs.
One or more can also be incorporated into an R.O. system as pretreatment
to improve system life or water quality.
- ALL SYSTEMS
are computer designed
utilizing the latest up-dated element data from all major element
manufactures. This insures maximum recovery and optimum water
quality while minimizing capital and operating costs. We provide
expected quality information along with pump operating cost and
projections on future production and water quality. In addition
we provide custom built pre-treatment as required to provide
the most economical and environmentally friendly operation of
the entire system.
